After hearing about the possibility that La Verne’s water is contaminated with lead, I could not help but wonder: how safe is La Verne’s drinking water?

Brian Bowcock, secretary of the Three Valleys Municipal Water District Board of Directors, has logged more than 40 years in the water industry. “I was the one who cemented the pipes for the water. I would lay on a sled that had a rope attached to it, so the guys could pull me out, and I had a bucket of paint in my hands. I would go 40 to 80 feet down these small tunnels, and when I finished, the guys would pull me out of there so fast.
